Questions, answered plainly
Short answers about accounts, data, Remote, agents and updates
Do I need an account?
No. Core discovery, diagnostics, Skill management and session handoff work without an AgentKib account, cloud database or model API
Does AgentKib upload my data?
Ordinary discovery and diagnostics do not call a model or upload project assets. Credentials, cookies, tokens, private keys, environment files and message databases are not cataloged or written to logs. Remote access is optional. Quota collection is off by default; when you turn it on, the bundled third-party tool CodexBar may read claude.ai cookies, Claude Code OAuth credentials and local logs to fetch usage
What is AgentKib Remote?
An optional feature that lets you read, approve and continue sessions from your phone or any browser while the agents keep running on your computer. Use AgentKib Web in a browser or the AgentKib app on iOS and Android
Which agents are supported?
Codex, Claude Code, Antigravity, Cursor, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes and Grok Build, plus read-only Beta diagnostics for DeepSeek Harness. Claude Code context diagnostics are partial. What each one supports differs, so check the Agents page
Will it change my agent configuration without asking?
No. Browsing, previewing and diagnostics do not modify configuration. Writes are generated as a ChangeSet with a full diff and happen only after you approve. Agent Home changes need a separate confirmation
How do Skills work?
Skills from the reviewed OpenAI catalog or a public GitHub repository are previewed and pinned to a commit before they join your local library. Nothing is enabled automatically, and you review each deployment to a personal or project location
What does handoff do?
It prepares a reviewed handoff from a Codex, Claude Code, Antigravity ACP or OpenCode session for another agent. Useful timeline context is kept, common sensitive values are masked, and you confirm before anything is written. Availability is checked per session
Is AgentKib open source?
Yes. AgentKib is released under the MIT License and the source is on GitHub
How do I update?
Install a newer package from the Releases page. The upgrade guide covers in-app updates and package-specific upgrade paths
Why does Windows SmartScreen warn me?
Windows installers are not yet Authenticode-signed, so SmartScreen can show a warning. Download only from the official Releases page, verify the .sha256 checksum, then decide whether to continue
What does KIB stand for?
Knowledge & Instruction Base
